Workshops

Forestry Workshops

Utilizing its extensive woodlands as a classroom, Branch Hill Farm offers unique, hands-on forestry workshops covering a variety of topics such as forest ecology and natural history, advanced silviculture and forest restoration, wildlife habitat management, forest carbon, and timber growing/utilization/and sawmilling. Workshops are usually offered in the fall and are led by Professional Foresters Dan Stepanauskas and Charlie Moreno.

Orcharding Workshops

March-April

Branch Hill Farm offers several orcharding workshops per year. Learn the techniques needed to propagate and grow your own fruit trees with this hands-on workshop led by Branch Hill’s Executive Director, Jared Kane.

Skills-Based Workshops

April-Oct

We offer gardening and other skills-based workshops. Past workshop topics have included no-till and climate-resilient gardening, soil biology, seed saving, composting, organic lawn-care, native/ecological landscape gardening, and herbalism.

Branch River Paddle & Hike

May
This annual Branch Hill Farm event in May is offered in partnership with Moose Mountains Regional Greenways. Local canoe and kayak enthusiasts will enjoy the opportunity to paddle on the beautiful Branch River in Milton Mills, NH.

WWW Festival

August
The annual Woods, Water & Wildlife Festival is a day-long August celebration of the great outdoors, hosted at BHF for the benefit of Moose Mountains Regional Greenways. The WWW Festival is a chance for families to explore and learn about the natural world together and features fun and educational outdoor activities.

Garden of Giving: A Farm-to-Table Feast

September 19, 4–7PM
This community dining experience is a way for neighbors to gather in celebration of the season's bounty and in support of ongoing Educational Gardens youth programming.
